Canning for the fist time

Looky at what I made today!!!

Strawberry jam!! Whoop whoop!

4th of july cupcakes on the 5th of july because thats how we roll

YUMMMY!! Little man and I made these last night!!!

I made them with a white box cake 

Divided 3 cups with the batter put blue food coloring in one red in on and then kept the other white

scooped white, blue, and red into the tins.

Baked as directed and this is what came out!! SUPA cute!

So the icing didn't do what I wanted it to do I put blue and red into the icing mixture and it didn't come out as cool as I was predicting! Oh well its probably because I used cream cheese frostin instead of buttercream I think the buttercream would have been more stiff. Oh well I LOVE cream cheese frosting though plus I had to improvise because I didn't have enough butter!

Recipe for Cream Cheese Icing:

1/2 C. Butter (soften)

1 8 oz. package cream cheese (soften)

1 tsp. Vanilla

3 C. powdered sugar or 1 box

Cream all together...put into a gallon size freezer bag and cut off tip and then slap onto cupcake!! or you can make it all fancy like, but who cares if its just for your family just munch them up!!! They won't last very long promise!!!!

One of my TX friends came to see me!! We'll she was actually here staying with her roommates family, but for my bonus she came to see me!! Its so weird her roommates family lives in the same town as we do in NM. My buddy and I went to college together and worked together in TX! When she moved away she ended having a roommate from the same place as where we live now! It was totally a God thing! That probably didn't make sense, but you kinda get the jist haha

Oh how I missed her!!!

And, for Mr. T's day off this is what he would be doing! haha

Russian Ragtime Reblooming Daylilly

I have no idea what this is, but I know its a lilly! haha It's supa pretty!!

More lillies...for some reason they didn't get tall glad because they have tons of blooms!

Raised bed where my red and pink lillies are. The 1st planter is all strawberries (Frt. Loraine I think is what its called) 2nd is snap dragons and pansies. 3rd is the lillies! Mr. T made this for me he did such a good job don'tcha think?

Front flowerbed has pansies and petunias, then snapdragons, chrysanthmums, then oregano, chives, strawberries they are all kinda bunched together this is a poopy picture of it, but oh well I'll have to take a better one some other time!

I'm a beginner gardener last year was my first year to ever really have flowers all season I love it now!!! WAY addicted!! I love to grow stuff maybe next week I'll have pics of my garden that i have these are pics of the back flower bed on the right side of the house and then front right flowerbed!
